Marseille's legendary soap cube has been manufactured for more than 600 years. Natural and made from an olive base, the multi-use hypoallergenic soap is not only le savon préféré de grand-mére, but that of ecological-minded purists the world over. Photo courtesy of south of France friend, Sylvia.

  2. Oh my goodness, i adore Marseilles soap...i buy it from an importer, grate it, mix it with water for my own liquid laundry cleaner. We also use the lavender Marseilles soap in the shower. I brought back 2kg of it from Paris last year...oh how i wish i could have filled my entire suitcase with it. I've been making my own Marseilles soap laundry liquid for a number of years now. Best stuff ever!
