BUMBLING ABOUT

A bumblebee, or bourdon, visiting the gardens at the pink marble Trianon Palace on the grounds of the Domaine du Château de Versailles. Another glorious Indian Summer day.
Vocabulary
un bourdon:  a bumblebee
bourdonner:  to buzz; to hum (motor)
un bourdonnement:  a humming

  1. I adore this picture; the bumblebee is divine. When i was in Paris during March last year and we saw these wonderful bees in so many gardens and for the life of me i couldn't get a picture of one. They are so very different to the bees we have here in Australia and i was mesmerised. Every time i brought out the camera, i swear, the bees would hide!
